The Human Family Project-The first stage of familywanted.org, launched March 1, 2007 is where stories are told in a secure environment, maintaining anonymity. Stories posted on familywanted.com are anonymously authored though viewable to the public.

I am inviting people from all types of families to contribute. A big part of the mission of this project is to realize that we share common ground and that we are part of an international community.

As of September 1, 2007, story posting members may contact each other through an inner site email system. All posting members are to be be advised that they are under no obligation to participate. The system is in place for those individuals who wish to have the support and fellowship of other members.

Through all of you, I have benefited from understanding that I am not alone. None of us is an expert in matters of family loss, yet we can be there for each other through our experiences.

Lessons I've learned about my own life through family:

  • try to always accept family members for being different
  • follow your heart, no matter what
  • take responsibility for your life
  • family is the place where people learn basic skills like how to love and care for themselves and others
  • it is possible to let go and love deeply
  • family is everything
